Wayne Berger has been an artisan for over 25 years. Living in California's beautiful Sonoma County, also known as wine country, Berger has been inspired by the countryside. He apprenticed under some well-known artisans, such as two years with renowned guitar artisan Tom Ribbecke. His custom work that he regularly creates for the notable classic modernist architect Craig Steely has been featured in major media. But one of the strongest influences in his work would be working in his father's cabinet shop throughout his teenage years. Wayne is now considered a master in using a variety of wood types, metals and textures.

When a piece of Berger's work is hung, it becomes more than a piece of art hanging on the wall. It has been described as, "becoming a part of the architectural element of the room."

Having become a Christian at age 30, Berger's faith is reflected in his art. One of Berger's themes that can be seen throughout his work is this: How do you reconcile faith with the fact that "life happens?"

On May 2, 2008, Wayne Berger's exhibition, called RESTORATION, opened at White Stone Gallery to rave reviews. Berger exhibited 24K gold, white gold, copper and silver leaf covered abstract panels symbolizing biblical ideas of personal restoration. Berger's work sold more consistently to notable clients than any of White Stone's exhibits with previous artists.
